I am quite familiar with most Lush products however they had a limited edition product out and it intrigued me greatly and after a demonstration in store i decided to get some. The product is the Dirty Deal Shower Powder. It is a pink powder designed to be used as an alternative to a shower gel and it has a scent created from bergamot oil and rose oil which is what really drew me in as i love everything rose scented. At £12.50 i think this is the most expensive product i have ever bought from Lush however the money goes to charity.
The Dirty Deal Shower Powder helps charities who are fighting against TTIP, The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, which is a deal being created by the EU and the USA. I must admit i am not too familiar with what is happening but i will leave a link at the bottom of this post to the Lush page which explains it a little bit better than i ever could. Lush teamed up with Vivienne Westwood who backs the fight against this deal and she designed the box which does draw your attention when you are in the shop.
The actual product was a lovely idea in theory, the powder foams up when mixed with water and goes a vivid purple colour however it is also a bloody nightmare. The packaging is cardboard therefore i cannot keep it in my shower as it would definitely get wet and i would loose all of the product. So i have to transfer some into a little pot which i can take with me into the shower so i don't ruin it but this leaves a large mess in my bedroom where i transfer it into the little pot. I prefer something that is slightly easier to use.
If TTIP is something that you feel strongly against it is worth buying this product to support it but if like me you are slightly ignorant to the deal that is being made it is not a must have product and is actually really hard to use.
